What might we write if we dared to reimagine the past? This generative workshop introduces poets and essayists alike to speculative nonfiction--a type of creative nonfiction that blends memory, imagination, symbolism, and even ghost stories to stretch what’s possible in truth-telling. These very short works of prose allow us to blur the lines of expectation and even genre, itself. You’ll leave with early drafts of two new flash essays and a braver sense of what nonfiction can hold.
